FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Montgomery County has secured $120,000 in state funding that will be used to better prepare for future emergencies. The 5-year Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan will be updated, and climate vulnerability assessments will be incorporated into the plan. LOUIS - A bookkeeper from a St. Louis suburb appeared in federal court on Wednesday and admitted to a multi-year, six-figure embezzlement scheme.Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Cora Willard, 47, ran Red Hen Business Services, a bookkeeping, payroll, and money-management assistance company.In May 2019, Willard was hired by a money management business to handle their books. As a result, Willard was given unfettered access to the company's bank accounts and financial records. A Fort Lupton police officer who locked a handcuffed woman inside a police vehicle before it was struck by a train is claiming the sole felony charge she faces — attempted reckless manslaughter — isn’t a real crime and should be dropped.Officer Jordan Steinke, 29, and then-Platteville police Sgt. Pablo Vazquez both were criminally charged after the Sept. 16 incident on railroad tracks near U.S. 85 and Weld County Road 38. One Person Airlifted Following Traffic Collision near Riverview DriveMADERA, CA (April 5, 2023) – Sunday evening, at least three people were injured in a head-on crash on Granada Drive.Officers responded to the incident report around 6:00 p.m. between Riverview Drive and Sunset Avenue.Based on the investigation, a southbound driver on Granada attempted to pass a car in front of him on the right-hand side.While trying to overtake the car, he hit it on the side, causing him to veer into the lane of oncoming traffic.As a result, the overtaking driver collided head-on with another vehicle traveling north on Granda.
